Women’s Basketball Puts Four on SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll

Four University of Florida women’s basketball players have earned a spot on the SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll, as the league announced its honorees for the annual academic awards Thursday.

Emanuely de OliveiraKristina MooreDanielle Rainey and Paige Robinson were all honored for their academic prowess.

For Rainey, the sociology major, it’s her second time taking home the award as she also earned a spot on the honor roll last season, her first with Florida.

De Oliveira, Moore and Robinson all garnered the honor for the first time.

For just the second time over the course of the last 20 years, Florida has featured at least four or more student-athletes on the honor roll in three consecutive seasons.

The 2020 SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2019 Spring, Summer and Fall terms.

To be recognized to the SEC Academic Honor Roll, each student-athlete must 1) have a GPA of 3.00 for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above at the nominating institution; 2) be on scholarship, a letterwinner or have participated on a varsity team for two years if non-scholarship; 3) have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial credit at the nominating institution; and 4) have been a member of the varsity team for the sport’s entire NCAA Championship segment.

In total, the Gators placed 62 student-athletes on the list.
