Florida women’s basketball now knows their 2022-23 Southeastern Conference schedule as the SEC announced the assignments on Wednesday morning.
The Gators will host eight matchups in Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. Three of UF’s opponents at home qualified for the 2022 NCAA Tournament while two others competed in the WNIT.
December 29 will mark the SEC-opener for the Orange & Blue as Tennessee heads to the O’Dome before the Gators hit the road for a New Year’s Day game in College Station, Texas, against Texas A&M.
The road trip will continue as Florida heads to Arkansas for a Thursday evening matchup on Jan. 5. A rivalry matchup heads back to Exactech Arena on Jan. 8 with Georgia heading south before Kentucky visits a week later on Sunday, Jan. 15.
Florida will alternate between home and away over the next seven games, beginning with a trip to Rocky Top in Knoxville, Tenn., against the Lady Volunteers on Jan. 19. After returning home for a game against Vanderbilt on Sunday, Jan. 22, UF will play at Auburn (Jan. 30), home against Texas A&M (Feb. 2), at Ole Miss (Feb. 5), back home versus Mississippi State (Feb. 9) and on the road at Georgia (Feb. 12).
The Gators will remain on the road on Thursday, Feb. 16, to face-off against reigning national champions South Carolina in Columbia. LSU is set to visit the Swamp on Sunday, Feb. 19 while Alabama will head to Gainesville for a Feb. 23 contest and senior day.
Florida’s SEC finale is slated for Sunday, Feb. 26 when the Gators hit the road to compete against Missouri.
