Florida women’s basketball has been slated to play at Clemson in the 2024 SEC-ACC Challenge on Thursday, Dec. 5. The announcement comes on Wednesday evening from both ESPN and the Southeastern Conference. The cross-conference event was showcased last year making 2024 the second annual.
The Gators have faced Clemson a total of five times in program history and hold a 2-3 record against the Tigers. Florida’s most recent matchup was in 2023, defeating Clemson 73-63 in the post-season WNIT. Before 2023, Florida had not picked up a win against the Tigers since 1986.
Florida women’s basketball looks to build on their success last season after making a run to the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament. The Gators will return eight players: Aliyah Matharu, Ra Shaya Kyle, Laila Reynolds, Eriny Kindred, Jeriah Warren, Kenza Salgues, Paige Clausen, and Alexia Dizeko. Florida will also welcome Louisville transfer Alexia Gassett, highly competitive freshmen Kylee Kitts, and two McDonald’s All-Americans, Me’Arah O’Neal and Liv McGill.
