The Southeastern Conference announced its 2024 women’s basketball postseason awards with two Gators being recognized.
LSU’s Angel Reese was named Player of the Year while her teammate Mikaylah Williams was named Freshman of the Year. South Carolina’s Kamilla Cardoso was voted as Defensive Player of the Year and Florida’s Leilani Correa was named 6th Woman of the Year.
Scholar-Athlete of the Year goes to Missouri’s Mama Dembele. South Carolina’s Dawn Staley was named Coach of the Year to mark her seventh SEC Coach of the Year honor.
First-team and second-team All-SEC honorees, All-Freshman team, All-Defensive team, along with Player, Coach and Freshman, Defensive Player, 6th Player and Scholar-Athlete of the Year were chosen by the league’s 14 coaches.
